The Heritage and Visitor's Center includes a wide variety of items important to Braselton's history, as well as the history and heritage of the surrounding area. We have also included items that, while not old, are an important part of why Braselton is special. It is located in the 1904 - the original part of the famed Braselton Brothers mercantile department store, built in 1904. The front room, generally opened to the public from 8am to 8pm, features a fun lounge environment where friends can meet up, grab something to eat or drink, or find a quiet spot to get some work done. Along one wall are antique dress cases still belonging to the Braselton family that at one time showcased women's clothing for customers to purchase. These unique cabinets are now filled with Braselton's treasured history. Photographs are also located throughout the building. Businesses are also located inside the 1904 including a restaurant, bakery, taproom and some retail shops. Come inside and explore. Pick up a walking tour guide to discover the history of other significant buildings located in Braselton's historic district.
