Historic Courthouse in Buchanan
Related Categories:

The City of Buchanan serves as the county seat of Haralson County. Shops and restaurants encircle the restored historic courthouse, which was built in 1892, and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Buildings. Buchanan is home to one of the Southern Quilt Trail patterns located at the restored Little Creek One-Room School House. This is the last remaining "one-room" school house in Haralson County and one of a few in the state. You can tour the school house upon request at the commissioner's office. The nearby cities of Bremen, Tallapoosa and Waco share Buchanan's heritage, and together they make the perfect place to spend the day.
