Tignall
Surrounded by rolling pastures, farms, and vast woods Tignall, Georgia, has long been the center of North Wilkes County. Formally incorporated in 1907, one of the first orders of business for the new town was the installation of electric lights. In only two decades Tignall grew from a crossroads to a thriving town boasting many stores and a hotel-thus earning it the nickname, "Little Atlanta."
