Sewing Basics at Foxfire Museum

Put your fabric scraps to good use in this hands-on workshop at Foxfire! Participants will learn simple hand-sewing techniques while piecing together traditional quilt blocks to create mug mats or small bookmarks from cotton fabric. If time allows, the class will also touch on basic embroidery and clothing repair skills.

This relaxed session is perfect for beginners and those who love the tradition of Appalachian quilting. Please bring a lunch and enjoy a day of creativity and conversation.
