Colonial Coffee House

Saturday, Nov 16, 2024 9 AM to 11 AM - Fort King George Historic Site - Darien, GA - The Coffee House is open inside the Officers' Quarters! Traditionally, the Coffee House was the seat of all great thinkers in the colonies. This special meet-and-greet with a ranger will involve sipping on 18th century style coffee by the fire and discussing history. Only $5 extra to join!

Morning coffee will be self-served with refills available. Sugars and creamers provided. No pre-registering required; walk in when you can between 9-11 am! Each hosted Coffee House will discuss a 1700's theme:

February: Founding the Georgia colony
September: Military and weaponry
October: Disease and medicine
November: Native and European cultural exchange
December: Holiday traditions 300 years ago

Those who wish to join the "Colonial Coffee House Club" can ask for a punch card--collect at least 3 punches and earn a special Fort King George cup!
