Decatur’s Pan African Festival is a celebration of Black culture and Black joy that engages the entire family and community in a safe setting. Festival-goers can expect a vibrant showcase of African, Caribbean, and African American music, dance, and art. A diverse lineup of talented performers, including reggae, spoken word, AfroBeats, and hip-hop artists, will perform. The event also features cultural activities, art exhibitions, African cuisine, and vendors. Attendees can also participate in a self-guided walking tour of the Beacon Hill community.
The festival is FREE and open to the public. The Pan African Festival is produced by the Beacon Hill Black Alliance for Human Rights in conjunction with the City of Decatur.
