From The Soul

Now in its 10th year, Dublin Soul Food Expo is not just a culinary experience, but a celebration of heritage fostering a sense of community and appreciation for the soulful traditions that continue to bring people together around the dinner table. This vibrant event brings together food enthusiasts, chefs, and community members to savor the flavors that have been passed down through generations. Attendees indulge in a sensory journey, immersing themselves in the aromas of slow-cooked sides, savory meats, and delectable desserts. This expo showcases a diverse array of traditional dishes, each with a story to tell reflecting the resilience and creativity of our local foodie community.

Some of Dublin’s most loved comfort filled restaurants join in the celebration serving up secrets that will dance on your tastebuds. Have you tried the potato pie at Miller’s Soul Food? Sank your teeth into some savory, crispy Paula’s Fried Chicken? Tasted those tender oxtails at Mama P’s? You’re in for a treat as these, and many more culinary enthusiasts, meet to bring you a culinary embrace of heritage and homestyle goodness.

The Host

The Dublin Laurens Black Festival Community Committee (DLBFCC) is a volunteer committee formed to commemorate African Americans and improve awareness of Black history in the community. DLBFCC hosts an annual banquet to honor African-American achievements, provide educational scholarships, host community events, recognize minority-owned businesses in our community and to educate and empower on cultural awareness and pride.
