St. Patrick’s Leprechaun Contest

Leprechauns multiply by the dozens at the 59th Annual Leprechaun Contest at the Dublin High School Auditorium on Monday, March 9th at 6 PM! Sponsored by Leadership Dublin-Laurens County, the annual Leprechaun Contest is an official St. Patrick’s Festival Event.

Irish green and creativity adorn wee 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students from the Laurens County area schools and homeschool students. Clever contestants compete against other children from their age group to be crowned the winner. Participants are judged on makeup, originality, authenticity, imagination, and general appearance. The top three boys and three girls from each grade receive trophies. The real prize for everyone is to see the winners in the Dublin St. Patrick’s Parade on Super Saturday!

All are welcome to attend to give a clap and dance a jig for the contestants. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 to 3. Children under 3 are FREE. The Dublin High School Auditorium is located at 1127 Hillcrest Parkway.
