GA Rep. Jeff Jones to Host Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies to Celebrate the new “Georgia Grown Trail”
DARIEN, GA— In an effort to celebrate a major milestone in Georgia’s agriculture industry, Georgia State Representative Jeff Jones, District 167, is hosting ribbon cutting ceremonies along Coastal Georgia’s U.S. Highway 17 as the part of the official “Georgia Grown Trail”.
Representative Jones will take a tour of Southeast Georgia to celebrate the newest “Georgia Grown Trail” on Tuesday, July 24th. He will make a stop in each of the six counties along its path (Camden, McIntosh, Glynn, Liberty, Bryan and Chatham).
The new trail is a border-to-border route spanning U.S. Highway 17 on Georgia’s 100 mile coast starting near Kingsland, GA, to the GA/SC state line at Savannah, GA. The trail’s goal is to get visitors off the interstate and into the lesser known areas that bear rich history and agriculture. The Georgia Grown Trail is a representation of Georgia’s booming agri-tourism and aqua-tourism industries: winding through miles of family-owned farms, pristine hunting plantations, state parks, farm stands, seafood and farmers’ markets, charter fishing spots, and shops and restaurants that sell Georgia grown products.
Interview opportunity with Rep. Jones and other officials involved: Tuesday, July 24 @ 11:15 AM Darien Bridge Southside of Darien Bridge (On East Shoulder of Highway 17) For more information go to www.georgiagrown.com
