Something Wicked is coming to the woods… and it’s not what you think! Join us for a magically green day celebrating misunderstood creatures, enchanted forests, and the hidden science behind the world of Oz®.

Inspired by the Broadway musical and new feature film releasing November 21st, this event invites families to explore the natural world through the lens of Wicked ®, all while learning about the real-life wonders of our ecosystems.

Admission: $20 Non-Members | $15 Members

Activities Include:

Potions and Pollinators Lab – Mix up your own nature “potions”, just like the witches of Wicked! ®

Follow the Green Trail – A guided hike with clues, riddles, and enchanted forest facts inspired by Elphaba’s ® journey through life and nature

Misunderstood Creatures Encounter – Meet snakes, owls, and other wildlife that often get a bad rap—just like the Wicked Witch® herself.

Discovery Dome Feature: “There’s No Place Like Space” – Explore the skies over Oz ® (and Georgia) in our immersive planetarium show.

Dress-Up –Costumes encouraged! Come dressed as either <3Glenda ® or <3Elphaba ®!

This event highlights the importance of seeing beyond first impressions—both in nature and in life. Just like Elphaba, many of nature’s most important creatures are misunderstood, but play essential roles in our world.
