Tuesday May 22, 2018

JEKYLL ISLAND, GA – May 21, 2018 – Jekyll Island’s Beach Village Green will be hopping this summer. Returning for a fourth year, the island’s popular Movie on the Green series kicks off later this month. In addition, Jekyll Island has added a new event: Beach Village Music Series.

“We’re excited to offer even more free, family-friendly entertainment throughout the summer and into fall,” said Jekyll Island Authority Senior Director of Marketing Meggan Hood. “Our unique, oceanside movie and music experiences can only be found on Jekyll and we’re pleased to welcome back guests of all ages.”

Last year, the Beach Village Green filled with visitors from near and far on movie nights. The mix of recent classics and new favorites means there’s something for everyone to enjoy. This year, the island has added live music from regional favorites, such as the Jacksonville Jaguars D-Line and the Second Chance Band.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. For snacks and meals, the Beach Village is home to several retail and dining options.
