Lanier Islands Gives Back Throughout the 25th Anniversary of Magical Nights of Lights
Georgia Lakeside Destination Plays Host to Several Charitable Events During the Holiday Season and Invites Guests to Pay It Forward Through Canned Food and Toy Drives
Buford, Ga. – November 16, 2017 – Showcasing hundreds of brightly lit, holiday-themed displays spread throughout all seven stunning miles of its renowned Magical Nights of Lights, Lanier Islands has become accustomed to giving its guests the gift of a little holiday “magic” each year. This year – which marks the 25th Anniversary of Magical Nights of Lights, the lakeside destination wants to give even more. To show its support for the community that surrounds the 1500-acre resort, Lanier Islands has devised a number of ways to give back to those in need this holiday season. In exchange for the gift of special memories that they can hold onto for years to come, Lanier Islands invites its patrons to join in the spirit of the season and show some much-needed kindness to deserving families in North Georgia. By doing so, they will learn that it can be very rewarding to give – as the Islands extends special discounts to Magical Nights of Lights in a show of gratitude.
“This year, we’re giving back in more ways than one,” said Mike Williams, CEO for Lanier Islands. “We’re offering some of our lowest admission rates in recent memory – just $35 per vehicle when purchased in advance online and $45 per vehicle at the gate, no matter the night our guests choose to visit. If a minivan holds 8 people, that’s less than $5-6 per person to see the lights, pay a visit with Santa and enjoy the sights at the Holiday Village. For those neighbors who believe they’ll visit Magical Nights of Lights more than once this holiday season, they may want to invest in an Islands Club membership – which includes unlimited admission to Magical Nights of Lights, as well as a decal for free parking at the Islands all year long. We’re also hosting special discount nights for Georgia educators as appreciation for the important work they do, and we extend our thanks to members of the U.S. military, police officers and first responders with a special discounted rate every night of the season. Our weekly charitable events present even more opportunities to save – in addition to the chance to give to those in need, which is such an important part of the holiday season in our eyes.”
