Panola Mountain, a National Natural Landmark and one of the green jewels of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area, supports rare and vibrant wildlife.
The Arabia Mountain PATH trail is a paved trail that runs from Lithonia to the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, located south of Conyers.

Explore a landscape that has taken 400 million years to form. The Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area lies just east of Atlanta along I-20. Dominated by two granite outcrops, it offers natural wonders, compelling history and outdoor recreation as well as historic appreciation. 

Bike along the 30+ mile, paved Arabia Mountain PATH (AMP), and see stunning vistas and historic landmarks. Hikers can discover rare plants and fascinating geology at The Davidson-Arabia Nature Preserve and Panola Mountain State Park, a National Natural Landmark. Hike above the trees and see the city of Atlanta in the distance. Wherever you go, make sure to Leave No Trace and help conserve the landscape for others. 

Visit the Flat Rock Archives, and see how a group of slaves formed a community that thrived through enslavement, emancipation and segregation. At the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, meet a society of Trappist monks who moved to Georgia during a war and built a place of peace.
