Grizz Fest to Feature an Array of Local Blues, Roots and Jam Acts

A host of local jam, blues and roots acts will pay tribute to longtime Atlanta-based band manager and sound engineer Kevin Meaders on March 31, 2019, at Terminal West in an event dubbed Grizz Fest.

Meaders, better known as “Grizz” to friends and colleagues, passed away at his Clarkston home on Jan. 23, 2019. He was the longtime manager and soundman for The Grapes, who are headlining the event. With the management company he formed with Allman Brothers tour manager Bunky Odom, Meaders oversaw a roster that also included the Derek Trucks Band, Col. Bruce Hampton, the Urban Shakedancers and others.

Along with The Grapes, Grizz Fest will feature performances by Deep Blue Sun, Apple Peru, the Donna Hopkins Band, Dotline Projekt, Copius Jones, the Ain’t Sisters and a jam session to close out the event, which kicks off at 3 p.m.

Grizz Fest will raise funds for The Gracenote Foundation and Taproot Music Camp. Advance tickets are $20.
