The Coathangers Announce March Release of The Devil You Know

The Coathangers will release their sixth album, "The Devil You Know," on March 8, 2019, via longtime label Suicide Squeeze Records. Like their previous album, 2016’s "Nosebleed Weekend," it was tracked at Valentine Recording Studios in Laurel Canyon with producer Nic Jodoin.

After polishing things up a bit with that last album, the band made conscious strides in recording "The Devil You Know" to meld the members’ somewhat disparate writing styles – which have ranged from abrasive punk to heartfelt ballads – into a cohesive whole. Noting the evolution and maturing of the Atlanta trio’s sound, guitarist/vocalist Julia Kugel says, “I don’t care what our previous image was. That’s not us now. I feel like this [album] is an introduction to what we are now.”

Tour dates are already set for late January through most of April, with many more to follow. Watch the video for the first single, "Bimbo" below.
