When: Wednesday, December 31, 2025 @ 8:00 AM Where: Meet at Callaway Resort and Gardens Information Center (17617 US Hwy 27, Pine Mountain, GA 31822)
*Please meet in person, if able, especially if you are an experienced participant! We rely on seasoned birders to help guide any new attendees when we divide into groups.
Lunch: Callaway Gardens Discovery Center (Violet Classroom @ 12 pm) *Please remember to pack a lunch, as the Discovery Cafe will likely be closed
Why: From December 14th – January 5th, tens of thousands of volunteers throughout the Americas brave snow, wind, or rain to take part in this valuable citizen science project. Audubon and other organizations use data collected in this long-running wildlife census to assess the health of bird populations and to help guide conservation action.
Just a few Reminders:
1. Please make sure to wear closed toed shoes and to dress for weather!
2. You may want to bring your binoculars and field guides, but we will also have some available onsite.
