The Folk Pottery Festival offers something for almost everyone!
The Folk Pottery Festival is an opportunity to talk to potters whose families have created pottery for generations.
Folk potters from across north Georgia display and sell their wares at the Folk Pottery & Arts Festival.
The design of the Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia recalls the shape and design of a folk potter's kiln shed.
The Folk Pottery Museum is filled with amazing vessels created from the imaginations and hands of north Georgia's storied potters.

Spend the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend exploring the art and craft of folk pottery at the annual Folk Pottery & Arts Festival. The one-day event will be held August 30 on the grounds of the Sautee Nacoochee Center (SNC) from 10 AM-4 PM. Admission is free for all visitors to the festival, the Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia, and other areas.

Festival goers will have the opportunity to enjoy the fascinating pottery of northeast Georgia folk potters, set up in SNC’s historic gym. Visitors can cast their vote for their favorite piece made by a local folk potter. Heritage art vendors will display and sell their wares across the lawn of the SNC campus. Folks can participate in the Museum's fundraising raffle to win pieces created by festival artists.

The featured exhibit in the Folk Pottery Museum, Ferguson Family: Clay & Kin, explores the history of one of the region's most storied famiies. Live potting demonstrations will take place in the museum throughout the day.

Additionally, the Heritage Site and the Cultural Center, located on the SNC campus, will welcome visitors. The Heritage Site features a restored 1850s cabin from the northeast Georgia mountains and a blacksmith shop built on site. Both will be staffed, with a blacksmith demonstrating on an open forge.

In the Cultural Center, festival goers may visit two gallery shops, which feature the work of artists in a variety of media who live within fifty miles. The From the Ground Up exhibit will be on display and with artwork available for purchase.

On the outdoor stage, musicians will gather for an old-time music jam. Food trucks will be on campus with concessions available for purchase
