Revolution on the Coast

The Coastal Georgia Historical Society invites history lovers of all ages to the Golden Isles for Revolution on the Coast: A 250th Celebration, a special Semi quincentennial experience running March 9–15, 2026.

Visitors will explore the American Revolution through engaging, interactive programs, highlighted by the First Oval Office Project from the Museum of the American Revolution, on March 13–15. The exhibit brings a replica of George Washington’s Revolutionary War tent, along with soldiers’ tents, costumed interpreters, and living-history experiences, to St. Simons Island. This marks the first time the project has visited Georgia.

Weekday programs are ticketed, while the First Oval Office weekend is free.
