Experience Atlanta's Trap Music Scene
The holy trinity of trap music – T.I., Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy – all hail from Atlanta, and the list of new artists performing in the ever-evolving genre is massive. "Trap" began as a slang term to refer to houses where illicit activities would take place, but over the years it has mutated and broadened.
Now, Trap music is more about the hustle, making money, the urban experience of taking a systemic disadvantage and figuring out how to turn it into art. Trap music is charismatic, boastful, edgy, clever and unstoppable.
Check it out and the six places below, and play it loud in your car on the way there.
