Thunderbolt

A small town five miles southeast of downtown Savannah, Thunderbolt is one of the gateways to Tybee Island. Thunderbolt runs along the western shore of Wilmington River, a tidal river that is part of the U.S. Intracoastal Waterway. The attractive waterfront is lined with seafood restaurants and shrimp boats. Nearby attractions include historic Bonaventure Cemetery and Wiley's Championship BBQ.
