(229) 219-1298The 9th Annual South Georgia Film Festival held March 7, 8 , & 9, 2025, celebrates the art and industry of film across the region. Along with three days of films and panels, we are hosting a celebration of the creative spirit here in Valdosta. Screenings and panels take place at Pound Hall and the Health Science and Business Administration Building on the North Campus of Valdosta State University, along with activities throughout Downtown Valdosta.
We are proud to have continuing sponsors the Georgia Film Office, Georgia Council for the Arts, the City of Valdosta, Creative Vein, Walmart Community Grant, Turner Center for the Arts, the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce, Film Impact Georgia and Wild Adventures to support the hard work and contribution of film to our community. Along with our host institution, Valdosta State University, their contribution allows us to be able to host a series of educational and informative panels during the festival.
This year's screenings include LIGHTS, CAMERA, FRIENDSHIP with director Joey Travolta and RATIFIED with co-Director Sabaah Folayan. Other visiting panelists include Emily Best of SEED & SPARK, Allison Hogue with the SALVATION ARMY of Georgia, Melissa Simpson of FILM IMPACT GEORGIA (FIG), Marty Lang of the University of Georgia, John Rash of University of Mississippi, Kate Fortmueller of Georgia State University, and director Ebony Blanding with Trilith Studios.Facility Amenities |
