America 250: Appling County's Hometown Celebration is a community-wide event commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence. Held on July 4, 2026, the celebration will bring together residents and visitors for a day of patriotism, history, art, and family-friendly activities.

Highlights include a parade, a community bell-ringing ceremony at 2:50 p.m. in conjunction with the national "Let Freedom Ring" observance, an Americana Art Display at the Courthouse Annex, and a community-created America 250 mural mosaic featuring the American flag and bald eagle. The event will also include food vendors, family activities, entertainment, and a fireworks display.

The celebration honors 250 years of American history while showcasing the pride, creativity, and hometown spirit of Appling County, Georgia.
