We'll make a tea, salve, poultice, and more based on what we find. We'll have supplies ready and you'll get to help forage for the plants we need. Call to reserve you spot, spaces limited.

Homeschool families will learn about some of the medicinal plants in our Physicians' Garden, the Springplace missionary, Anna Rosina Gambold, who became one of America's first female published botanists for her article Plants of the Cherokee Country. This program is best suited for children 6 and up. Children 5 and under are free and can remain with their guardian for the event. Historic Site passes will not be accepted for this event. This event is weather permitting and will be rescheduled for rain. Call to pre-register, plan on arriving by 9:15am the day of the event. Admission will include a tour of the Vann House after the program, optional.
