Southern Pines Regional Park

Montrose

Montrose, Georgia is one of those small Southern towns nestled quietly in the country.

Tucked off I-16, the quaint and quiet town of Montrose, with a population of only a couple hundred people, offers peaceful farmland and a glimpse into everyday southern life.

Explore Historic Sanders Hill

Just 1.5 miles southwest of Montrose lies Sanders Hill, also known as "Overhome." Built in 1903 and constructed from Georgia heart pine, this historic home is a rare example of saltbox-style architecture in Middle Georgia and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Fish the lakes and creeks

Montrose and the surrounding area offer anglers fishing opportunities at freshwater lakes and creeks. At Southern Pines Regional Park in nearby Dublin, you can catch fishing rodeos in the spring and summer.
