New Year's Eve Shamrock Drop

Be awed as a brilliantly lit shamrock descends from behind the historic Theatre Dublin at midnight! Bring a lawn chair or blanket to set your family up in the theatre parking lot. Live music will have you dancing under the stars from 8 PM right into the New Year in Downtown Dublin GA.

NYE is a night of indulgence, and food truck options will be onsite to guide you on a culinary journey to bid farewell to the old year!

Usher in 2026, Dublin-style! Years ago, it was a beloved tradition to gather in front of Laurens County’s oldest bank, Farmers and Merchants Bank, on New Year’s Eve to watch the clock strike midnight. Though the original bank that once stood on Jackson Street and is long gone, the Downtown Dublin Development Authority revived the celebration with the New Year’s Eve Shamrock Drop, transforming Madison Street behind Theatre Dublin into a full-on street party as the countdown begins!

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at behind Theatre Dublin with live performances by 47 By Crow and Georgia Chryslers as the brightly lit shamrock descends to count down the clock and ring in the new year with a bubbly toast. The party kicks off early in the theatre parking lot with music, so bring your lawn chairs and coolers and enjoy the festivities. The official celebration takes place ?from 8 PM ?until 12:30 AM.
