Thursday, Aug 13, 2026 5:15 AM to 6:30 AM - Watson Mill Bridge State Park - Comer, GA - Night sky conditions are just right for viewing the Perseids Meteor Shower at its peak this year- we may see up to 150 meteors in an hour! Bring a blanket or comfortable chair for looking skywards. If there are cloudy skies or rain, meteors won't be visible. Please call the office the day by August 12th to sign up.
Meet at the Day Use playground parking lot at 5:15 am. We will then caravan together to the viewing area.
We want to limit the use of artificial white light in order to maximize visibility and have clear night vision so please bring a red headlamp if you have one.
