Amplify Decatur Music Festival

Amplify Decatur Music Festival celebrates a decade of music on and around the Decatur Square. The four-day music event runs from Thursday, June 4, through Sunday, June 7, with performances by Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers, Dylan LeBlanc, Kyshona, and the Georgia Mountain Stringband.

Come out Friday, June 5 for a free show on downtown Decatur’s new performance stage. The Sundogs Present: The Tom Petty Show plus pop-up performances on and around the Decatur square beforehand.

The flagship concert is Saturday, June 6 on the new downtown Decatur stage. The ticketed event billed as “A Decade of Music on the Square” runs from 3-11 pm and features performances by Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers, Dylan LeBlanc, Kyshona, Georgia Mountain Stringband, and the winner of an upcoming high school Battle of the Bands.

More ticketed events are planned for Thursday, June 4, nearby at Avon Theatre in Avondale, and the music continues Sunday, June 7 with “Amplify Hall of Fame” at Eddie’s Attic.

The event is presented by Lenz and produced in partnership with Eddie’s Attic. All proceeds from the festival weekend will be directed to Decatur Cooperative Ministry and the Decatur Education Foundation.
