Main Street Players

The creation of Main Street Players began with the dream of its founder and Artistic Director, Norma Richardson, and to return to her hometown and help expand the artistic opportunities in the community. Joining in this endeavor were other returning natives professionally involved in theatre, Joe McKaughan, Charles Walker, and Dan Strickland.
After six years of planning and preparation, the dream became a reality. Main Street opened its first season on September 20, 2001, with the production of “Yours Anne” the story of Anne Frank told through music.
Main Street is located in the heart of Griffin’s historic downtown at 115 North Hill Street. The old Woolworth’s building was renovated to create the 100-seat black box theatre.
