DNR Art Contest Off Trail Sketching in the Park

Saturday, Oct 11, 2025 10 AM to 12 PM - High Falls State Park - Jackson, GA - High School Students! Heard about the Georgia DNR State Parks & Historic Sites art contest? For this special sketching opportunity, go off trail with the Naturalist to an area not normally accessible to the public for a unique view of the old powerhouse. Meet on the lawn next to Picnic Shelter #1 to hike on the Falls View Trail (strenuously rated).

There is no fee, but due to the nature of this hike, space is limited. Must register in advance.
Pencils, colored pencils, wild-crafted artists charcoal, and sketching paper provided.
