First Day Hike - New Year's Day

Thursday, Jan 1, 2026 10 AM to 11:30 AM - High Falls State Park - Jackson, GA - Join hikers across the country for a New Year's Day hike! Morning or afternoon, both hikes will start on the 0.5 mile Historic Trail (ADA) with the option of continuing to the 2.5 mile Tranquility Trail (moderately rated). There will be a K9 Demonstration, and vendors, Black Smoke Coffee and Chick-fil-A, will have food available for purchase.

$5 parking fee required per vehicle. Meet at the Park office.
