Little Ocmulgee State Park is a tranquil Georgia state park located north of McRae on the Little Ocmulgee River.
The park's history dates back to the 1930s when it was first constructed by members of the Civilian Conservation Corps around the natural diversion of the Little Ocmulgee Lake. This lake features a small beach and is close to the Wallace Adams Golf Course.
One of the distinctive features of the park is the soil, which is a fine white sand, providing the lake with a delightful beach. The park features the 2.6-mile Oak Ridge Trail. Two rare species, the harmless Indigo snake and the gopher tortoise may be seen from the trail.
The 60 rooms in the main lodge and the ten lakeside cabins at Little Ocmulgee capture the rustic flavor of the Georgia countryside and are fully air-conditioned; offer WiFi, and full conveniences.
The Fairway Grill restaurant overlooks the 6th and 7th holes of the Wallace Adams Golf Course, and is open year-round for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
