Kids Old-Fashioned Cooking Experience

Saturday, Apr 18, 2026 11 AM to 2 PM - Hardman Farm Historic Site - Sautee Nacoochee, GA - Learn how people cooked about 100 years ago using a historic wood stove. Lunch will be provided in part from your own cooking efforts. This program is for children ages 7-12. One adult must stay with their child(ren). Advance Reservations are required. Limit of 20 participants.

Kids will discover how cooking used to require much more time and effort than it does today, and they'll get to enjoy a meal made from their own efforts. An adult must register as a participant when registering their child for the program and will need to stay and work alongside their child throughout the program. Lunch will be provided for the children and the accompanying adults. Please note that children younger than 7 years old are not allowed at this event due to safety concerns associated with being in a historic kitchen with a hot stove. The program is limited to a total of 20 participants.
