Social

This house, built in 1849 in the classical style, was the home of cotton factor Andrew Low until his death in 1888. Girl Scouts founder Juliette Gordon Low and her husband William Low lived in the house, which he inherited from his father. Upon Juliette's death, the house was purchased by The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in the State of Georgia. The house opened to the public as a museum in 1952.
