Celebrate African American tradition and culture of the coastal barrier islands at the annual Taste of Gullah. At this special event you can listen to musicians perform songs passed down from ancestors and taste traditional Gullah cuisine. There will also be a special performance by the Gullah Geechee Ring Shouters. The event benefits the St. Simons African American Heritage Coalition, a local organization dedicated to preserving the cultural traditions and historic sites that are special to the Golden Isles. This year's event will take place at Village Creek Landing from 5-7 p.m. Admission is $81 per person.
