The Classic Center

The Classic Center Theatre is the "crown jewel" of Downtown Athens. This state-of-the-art, 2,100-seat theater is home to nationally touring Broadway productions, headline entertainers, concerts and the Athens Symphony. More than just a performing arts space, The Classic Center Theatre is home to community events, including church services, meetings and fundraising events.

The Classic Center Theatre has hosted the Secretaries of State, a weekly network television series, and the annual "Dancing with the Athens Stars." The venue has also partnered with the University of Georgia Performing Arts Center for a new Celebrity Evenings Series, which brings well-known, world-class performers to Athens. The Classic Center Theatre also serves the youth of northeast Georgia with two productions of well-loved stories, which are a part of the Children's Series.
