The Decatur County Genealogical Society Inc is a 501 (C ) (3) non- profit organization. Their new genealogy library is located at 215 E. Water Street in downtown Bainbridge, just one block off the square. They are currently open Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday's 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. They will open after hours and on Monday or Saturday by Appointment.
The library currently has over 600 genealogy books and 600 + family files. There are more records added daily.
Genealogy meetings are held second Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at the library. Visitors are welcome.
