Lasso the Moon Alpaca Farm is a working alpaca breeding farm. Above the alpaca birthing barn is Lardworks Glass, Fiber & Jewelry art studio. We offer a hands-on, tactile experience and will teach you all about alpacas and their fiber from shearing to a finished product. Learn about all types of fiber art techniques from spinning to felting. We also make our own glass beads, called lampworking, and finished jewelry designs, often incorporating alpaca fiber in the designs. Come for an hour-long visit, meet the alpaca and shop in our unique gallery store, or take advantage of one of our scheduled felting classes (see website). The classes are $99 each and include all materials and a warm gourmet farm-to-table lunch. Lasso the Moon Alpaca Farm & Lardworks Studio offers a unique learning and shopping experience on a farm in the gorgeous North Georgia mountains. Plan your visit today by calling us at (706) 835-1837.
APPOINTMENT IS NEEDED. Please do not just show up without an appointment. This is a private farm and we ask that you respect our privacy and make an appointment before arriving. We are not open in the early mornings, this is chore time. Most appointments are made after lunch.
