Founded in 1918, Dillon Candy Company is among Georgia's oldest continuously operating candy companies. Located in Boston, Georgia, just 10 minutes east of historic Thomasville and approximately 45 minutes west of Interstate 75 in Valdosta, our family-owned business has been crafting handmade Southern confections for more than a century.

The Dillon Candy story began in Brunswick, Georgia, when eighteen-year-old George Dillon started making candy in the back room of a grocery store to help support his family. In 1922, the company moved to Thomas County, where it quickly became one of South Georgia's best-known candy manufacturers, shipping candy throughout the Southeast. In 1956, George returned to his roots in nearby Boston, Georgia, restarting the business with his original copper kettles and laying the foundation for the Dillon Candy Company that continues today.

Visitors to our Factory Store can shop our full line of handmade candies, including pecan rolls, divinity, brittles, pralines, chocolate-coated nuts, seasonal specialties, gift assortments, and other Southern favorites. The store also features Georgia Grown Products from other companies, offering guests a unique opportunity to discover and support Georgia-made products in one location.

More than a retail destination, the Factory Store offers visitors a glimpse into over a century of candy-making history. Guests can explore Historic Memorabilia, retired copper kettles, vintage candy-making equipment, historic photographs, and displays that celebrate the Dillon family's candy-making legacy and the company's longstanding role in South Georgia manufacturing.

Under the leadership of Tom and Amy Cook, Dillon Candy Company continues to blend tradition with innovation while maintaining its commitment to quality and craftsmanship. The company is SQF-certified and remains dedicated to producing handmade Southern confections using time-honored techniques and attention to detail.

Conveniently located on US Hwy 84, Dillon Candy Company welcomes travelers and candy lovers looking to experience an authentic piece of Georgia history while enjoying some of the South's favorite handmade treats. Limited group visits may be available by advance arrangement during select times of the year.

Gift baskets, seasonal gift assortments, specialty Georgia-made products, and handcrafted candies are available throughout the year, making Dillon Candy Company a favorite destination for travelers seeking unique Southern gifts, gourmet treats, and a taste of Georgia's candy-making heritage.
