Escape to the peaceful lake! Carters Lake is located in the Northwest Georgia mountains, between Atlanta and Chattanooga. 62 miles of shoreline surround 3,200 acres of clear, clean water.
Often described as "Georgia's Best Kept Secret," the lake is a welcome escape from the bustle of city life, only an hour away. The marina offers boat dockage, lakeside cabins, houseboats and pontoon boats for rental. For the boat owner, a free slip at the marina is included in cabin rentals. Also offered are cabin and boat packages, which are a great deal.
The gas sales, store and snack bar are open to all lake users. For our boat dock customers, service and repair are also available. The marina is open year-round.
Store hours vary during the off season, November through March, so please call ahead.
