Peaches at Jaemor Farms at Banks Crossing in Commerce, Georgia

Commerce

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Commerce has an impressive historic downtown Commercial District with a collection of 19th and 20th century commercial and industrial structures reflecting the charm captured by Olive Ann Burns in her novel, Cold Sassy Tree. Commerce is on the U.S. 441 Heritage Highway. Shopping, restaurants and a train track down the center of town take you back to a more relaxed era. Many visitors also visit Banks Crossing to shop at Tanger Outlets and Commerce Crossing, others come because of drag racing. Atlanta Dragway is an NHRA-sanctioned track and has a full schedule of events throughout the year, including NHRA's Southern Nationals in April. Don't miss going to Funopolis Family Fun Center, with mini golf, laser tag, arcade games and much more for the whole family! Sandy Creek or Deer Trail golf courses offer traditional golfing in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains. Historic Downtown Commerce is an enjoyable destination for all ages.
