Newton

Newton was founded in 1837 and is the county seat of Baker County. There are several properties on the National Register of Historic Places, including Baker County Courthouse and Notchaway Baptist Church.

Newton is located on the Flint River and is one of the few areas in Georgia not touched by a federal highway.
