Riverdale
Only five miles south of Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Riverdale is a thriving and growing city in the "Southern Crescent" of Clayton County. Make Riverdale your home away from home when exploring Atlanta and its many attractions, such as the Clayton County International Park, home of the 1996 beach volleyball Olympic competition and a filming location for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and Tyler Perry's "The Family that Preys." See exhibits of film and video memorabilia from local productions in the Clayton County Visitor Center. Also nearby is the Atlanta State Farmers Market, one of the largest outdoor produce markets in the United States.
When you visit, be sure to sample some of the great restaurants like El Pulgarcito de Centro America, a modest Salvadoran restaurant serving authentic pupusas. Home of the Riverdale Centre, the city hosts concert series, family reunions, an annual Seafood & Music Festival and many more events throughout the year.
