The gallery connected to the pottery studio is located in a 120 year old farm house. Inside you will find potters working daily along with the work over ten artists which includes pottery, metal work, jewelry, wood and glass. Cindy Angliss has been a potter for more than 30 years. Her working studio and gallery are located in a historic 116-year-old farmhouse on Scenic Highway 197 (also known as the Moonshine Highway), 14 miles north of Clarkesville, and just south of Lake Burton. Cindy and resident potter Cody Trautner can be seen demonstrating daily. Kiln openings and studio tours take place every three weeks, or by request. When you visit the shop, you will find Hickory Flat Functional High Fired Pottery as well as creations by other regional artists, including porcelain, stoneware, stained glass, copperwork, woodwork, fiber and jewelry. We also have special events and giveaways, so check out our website (great recipes, too)!
Every three weeks when we open the kiln, we choose a pot "Hot out of the Kiln" to give away to a fan who has liked us on Facebook. Like Hickory Flat Pottery on Facebook, check our website for our next kiln opening, and you may be the next lucky winner!Facility Amenities |
