Habersham Community Theatre

The Habersham Community Theatre (HCT) as a Showplace for the Arts provides live theatre for the residents and visitors in Northeast Georgia. Opportunities abound to be involved as an audience member, a performer on the stage, or worker behind the scenes Actors, directors, set and costume designers, technical crew, board members, friends, and associates are all volunteers who wish to be involved in performing arts and contribute to the cultural enrichment of the community.

Drama, comedy, musicals, dinner theatre, readers' theatre, children's productions, art exhibits, and special events are part of the mix of activities taking place. Currently the theater sponsors a variety of concerts and has recently sponsored presentations of one-act plays by the drama departments of the Habersham Ninth Grade Academy and Habersham Central High School

HCT makes its home in the Historic Habersham Theater which was built as a movie theater in 1937.
