Kit Jones Historical Vessel

Come see the Kit Jones, a historic vessel launched in 1939 by Sapelo Island owner and tobacco company heir R.J. Reynolds. The vessel has served as a tug boat, Sapelo Island ferry, fire boat during WWII, UGA Marine Research vessel, and University of MS research vessel. She returned home in 2023 to be on display for Darien visitors for years to come!
