Main Street Park
Main Street Park is bustling with visitors and has quickly become the epicenter of activities in Downtown Dawsonville. With the diversity of options, the park offers something for everyone.
The children’s playground is a town favorite, offering a variety of fun activities for the youngsters with conveniently located seating for the adults. The park also features a wheelchair accessible swing, which allows all children the opportunity to participate in the fun.
Main Street Park has over 1.1 miles of paved trails for both runners and walkers alike. Benches are located along the trail for frequent rest periods. With pollinator gardens, a martin pole and multiple blue bird houses, visitors are encourage to connect with nature. There is a large grassy area in the center of the park for a variety of activities. Come stroll the park and enjoy the beauty it offers.

Skate Park with new features
Basketball court and four pickleball courts
The Shiners 9 - 9 hole disc golf course. Disc golf rentals are available at Chestatee Regional Library by using your library card.
4 cornhole boards located near our entrance. A picnic table and grill are nearby, so bring your bean bags and your friends for a friendly competition. Bean bags are available to rent from Chestatee Regional Library using your library card. For more information call 706-344-3690.
3 covered pavilions with ample space to picnic with your family and friends. Charcoal grills and coal boxes are available throughout the park. Pavilions have power and are available for RENTAL.
14 fitness stations. 1-4 are located near the assisted living center, allowing visitors easy access to equipment. There is a swing located at the rear of this area for rest periods. The other stations are located along the walking trail.
And for your 4-legged friends, located at 244 Memory Lane, Heart of the Dog Park offers dogs of all sizes the opportunity to run and play. The fenced facility has 2 sides: one for the little dogs, and one for our larger friends. Obstacles have been added and offer a fun activity for your furry companion. The dog park is located on Memory Lane near the assisted living facility. Cleanup stations are located within the dog park and along the walking path.
In partnership with Indigo Energy, we have added of an EV charging station. The station is located at the entrance to Main Street Park, just inside the gate.
Park is open daily, 7am to dusk.
