Tour the finest hotel of the 1920s, which has been re-imagined for the 21st century. With its early Art Deco architecture, combined with eclectic European and Egyptian influences, the Fred Roberts provides an inviting atmosphere for architecture enthusiasts. Designed by architect C.W. Shieverton, the Fred Roberts represents one of Georgia's earliest examples of Art Deco eclecticism.
The Fred Roberts sits at the heart of downtown Dublin, next to the historic Theatre Dublin and surrounded by the new Bicentennial Plaza. Constructed in 1926 as a project of the Chamber of Commerce, it was known as the finest hotel between Macon and Savannah. The balcony and plentiful windows provide beautiful views of historic downtown Dublin, including the Dublin Carnegie, City Hall, Theatre Dublin, First Baptist Church, and Founder's Park.
