Aaron Family Orchards

Aaron Family Orchards, originally Aaron’s Apple House, has been a cornerstone of Gilmer County since 1944, when Shafter Aaron, seeking ways to support his growing family, established a small farm next to his home. He began cultivating apples and raising chickens, setting the foundation for what would later be known as Aaron's Apple House. This facility allowed Shafter and his four sons to sell apples and other farm products both wholesale and retail. Over the years, the family expanded, adding cattle to the farm and making a lasting impact on the community.

In 2024, Joshua and his wife, Kaylee, took over the full ownership and operations of the orchard. Under their leadership, they have already re-planted the apple orchard on dwarf root stock with the goal for U-Pick, added in a petting farm, started U-Cut flowers, and most recently added in a bakery in 2025.

Today, Aaron Family Orchards continues to thrive under the stewardship of the Aaron family. Growing apples, vegetables, flowers, and providing locally grown produce to the community. The fourth generation’s commitment to quality and service remains as strong as ever, continuing the legacy built by Shafter and Reba Aaron more than 80 years ago.
