Lake Lanier boasts one of the finest natural venues for flatwater paddling and rowing in the world. The Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games structured the venue such that the living legacy created here not only survives, but thrives. Join the Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club to learn or compete in the Olympic discipline of Flatwater Canoe / Kayak, Marathon Canoe / Kayak and Dragon Boat. We offer recreational kayak and canoeing programs for other types of Flatwater Paddling. Youth from ages 7 to 14 can join us for Summer Day Camp. Youth from ages 10 to 15 can participate in the nationally recognized Richardson Youth Racing League as an introduction to the Olympic discipline.

We rent recreational level canoes and kayaks for use at the venue. Please call for reservations. Events (such as the Come Try It), programs, canoe and kayak rentals (770-287-7888) as well as activities are held throughout the year for the serious and the not-so-serious canoeist and kayaker.
