It started in 1986 when the parents of Catarina's Co-Owner, Jimmy, decided to open a restaurant, El Durango. His Mother, Catarina was passionate about the restaurant business but especially about serving and loving people. El Durango quickly became a staple in the City of Griffin serving some of the best Mexican and American food.

​After several years of serving people at El Durango's Catarina passed away. In honor of her great legacy Jimmy and Co-owner Anthony have opened Catarina's Mexican Restaurant. The mission is to carry on Catarina's tradition of loving people with amazing service and food.
